Families Together Wants You to Imagine the Possibilities…
And Double Them.
This holiday season, 22 local families have created a $100,600 Match Challenge for YOU and our community.
Every gift to Families Together will be doubled until the match is met, helping even more children and their families find Home, Community, and New Beginnings.
And every gift beyond the match still moves Wake County families from crisis to stability.
Help unlock the full match, and help even more brothers, sisters, moms, dads, and grandparents when you do.
On Giving Tuesday, December 2nd
Imagine a child finally falling asleep in a warm bed…
Imagine parents sharing a holiday meal in a safe place they can call home…
Imagine a family stepping into stability and hope — together.
Over 450 families are waiting for shelter now.
Your December gift will be DOUBLED up to the $100,600 match to help children find stability faster. And once the match is unlocked, your support keeps opening doors for more children waiting for stability.
Double the impact. Double the hope.
This December, as our community comes together to unlock a powerful $100,600 Challenge Match, Families Together invites you to help build something truly meaningful — a Gingerbread Home that represents the safety, comfort, and new beginnings every child deserves.
Every gift you make helps us build this house piece by piece. And because of the match created by 22 generous local families, every dollar you give will be DOUBLED until the full match is met, helping even more Wake County families move from crisis to stability.
How It Works
As our community gives, and hits each milestone, walls build a foundation of safety for a child, and brings a family closer to a place they can finally exhale, live, and dream; a roof offers protection, warmth, and stability; and, all the final touches - windows, doors, landscaping, and holiday decorations – bring the home to life.
Each part of our Gingerbread Home represents building shelter, stability, and hope for real families experiencing homelessness.
Your Gift Builds More Than a Gingerbread House
Whether you give $50 or $1,200, every dollar helps a child:
fall asleep in a warm bed instead of the backseat of a car
cuddle in the folds of a couch clutching a cup of hot cocoa
enjoy a holiday meal with all of their family members, in a safe place to call home
experience routines, school, and childhood again
step into the new year with hope — and a key to their family’s new beginning
And throughout December, your gift goes twice as far for the 450+ families waiting for shelter right now.
Together, we can build Home. Community. New Beginnings.
Give today — and help us finish the (gingerbread) house that hope built.

8,000 children in Wake County will experience homelessness this year.
The number is big—but change starts with one.
One child. One safe night. One new beginning.
Right now, families in our community are caught in the affordable housing crisis. Children are sleeping in cars, storage units, and on the streets. Others are split up, couch-hopping between friends. This year, the need is greater than ever.
At Families Together, we believe that every child deserves a place to call home—and a community that supports their journey forward.
Your support helps a child find home, community, and a new beginning.
Every day, our team works alongside families to break the cycle of homelessness by providing not just housing, but the tools and support they need to thrive, including:
✔️ Personalized case management to address each family’s unique needs.
✔️ Connections to essential resources like childcare, healthcare, and basic necessities.
✔️ Financial empowerment and employment support to build lasting stability.
✔️ Life skills workshops on tenant rights, budgeting, home maintenance, self-care, and more.
Together, we can make sure every child has a place to call home.
