  • Learn-To-Bike

    Learning to ride a bike is about more than balance—it’s about resilience, confidence, and fun! Thanks to our partners at Black Girls Do Bike, kids in our program have the chance to pedal forward this fall, building new skills and unforgettable memories while simply enjoying the freedom of being kids. 

    We are looking for a small handful of volunteers to help out with this event. If you are interested in helping out the day of the event (October 11), please sign up below.

  • Thanksgiving Meals

    Every family in our program will gather around the table to share a Thanksgiving meal, thanks to baskets lovingly provided by our sponsors. And with pantry support throughout the year, Families Together helps ensure that no child goes to bed hungry.

  • Shaw University Tour

    College is a huge milestone for many families and we want to make sure the children in our families feel supported in their journey to higher education. Middle and high school-age children in our families will be touring local HBCU Shaw University with a few of our Mentor Advocates to learn more about the campus and what college can look like for them.

    From toys to special surprises, our Holiday Smiles program makes Christmas morning magical for children in our program. With the help of sponsors and supporters, kids’ holiday wishes come true—bringing joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging.

  • $25 – Can offer children after-school snacks for a week. 

  • $75 – Can pay for a welcome basket of housing and hygiene items to get a family started in their new home. 

  • $150 – Can provide a night in an emergency hotel stay for a family experiencing homelessness 

  • $300 – Can offer 23 hours of credit counseling, budgeting, and employment support 

  • $1,500 – Provides funds for water, electric, and gas deposits for 3 families moving into new apartments

  • $4,500 – Covers rental deposits for 3 families moving into permanent housing.
