A safe place to sleep is the turning point for families that gives parents and caregivers room to breathe, regain their footing, and begin looking beyond tonight. This fall, Safe Nights. Hopeful Futures. explores What Comes Next? — the incredible change that can occur when families no longer have to worry about where they will sleep at night.
Every family and their path toward stability is different. With support from community members and partners, we work alongside families to tackle individual challenges and design actionable plans to achieve personal and family goals that support long-term stability.

What Becomes Possible After Safety
Alicia* is raising one-year-old twin girls while working part-time as a home health aide and studying to become a certified nurse assistant. Right now, her family is staying safely in Families Together’s Emergency Shelter.
With support from her Mentor Advocate, Alicia secured childcare and created a schedule that allows her to work, continue her education, and be present for her daughters. She recently passed an important test, bringing her another step closer to certification.
For Alicia, a safe night has created room to keep moving forward — toward a career, a permanent home, and the stable future she is working to build for her girls.
