WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER AND FACE THE GROWING PROBLEM OF CHILDHOOD HOMELESSNESS IN WAKE COUNTY,
WE CAN SOLVE IT.
Jake was sleeping in the back of his family’s van with his little sister and their father when he came to Families Together. At seven years old, he was afraid and confused and he was falling behind in school.
Your support helps families like Jake’s move into a safe, temporary home at Families Together where they can remain together and begin to rebuild their lives.
For Jake, having a warm bed in one of our apartments with a quiet place to do his homework and a playground outside where he can run and have fun with newfound friends, has made all the difference. Jake is now on grade level at school. He loves to read and gets books from our mini-library every week. When he grows up he wants to drive truck and build things just like his dad.
Every day, another 14 children like Jake become homeless in our community.
Let’s face this challenge together. Won’t you make a donation to help a child affected by homelessness?
